Immigration Medicals

Immigration Medicals

New to New Zealand?

If you have come here to live or are on a student or work visa, there will be paperwork! And, you may need a medical examination.

It can all be a bit scary when you’re new and don’t know the system or how to get your documents ready for Immigration New Zealand.

Not only can we give you any medical examinations required, we can also help you with the forms and make sure everything is in order, saving you time and money.

Our two specialist Immigration doctors;  Joshua Tang and Keefe Ting know all about what you will need and can guide you through the process.

To book an appointment you will need to bring your passport into the practice and an up-front payment of $300 for a full medical, and $200 for a limited will need to be paid.

Following your medical with the doctor you will be required to have Blood tests. You will be given a form to take with you to Southern Community Laboratories, located at 18 Filleul Street. Payment for your Blood tests does have an additional charge and is paid directly to Southern Community Laboratories.

If you require a chest x-ray as part of your Immigration medical you will be given a referral form to take with you to Pacific Radiology, located in Consultancy House, 7 Bond Street. Payment for your x-ray is an additional charge and is paid directly to Pacific Radiology.

Please phone reception to make a booking and do remember to let us know you require an Immigration medical because they can take longer than a standard appointment.

Your Immigration medical will be submitted within 5 working days of receipt of results (X-ray or blood tests whichever is later).

If your medical is urgent, please let us know.”
