There’s an awful lot written and said in the media about diabetes and pre-diabetes. And it’s just as much of a problem here in New Zealand as it is overseas.
So much so that here at MHC we have an in-house diabetes service providing education, support and monitoring. It’s not just for those already diagnosed with this disease, but also for anyone with mildly abnormal blood sugar levels.
We know how frightening diabetes can be, so we’ll take very good care to explain it all carefully, especially when it comes to medications and how to use insulin if this is required in your planned care.
You’ll be pleased to know that there’s a free annual check-up, too, which will tell us – and you – how well you’re managing your diabetes and where there might be need for change.
If you suspect you might be heading towards diabetes or already have it, please do contact us to find out more about our diabetes service.
