Ursula was brought up in Palmerston North and at Otanerito Bay on Banks Peninsula. She completed a BA at the University of Canterbury before working for the Department of Conservation on various threatened bird species projects including the Okarito Kiwi, Kakapo and Chatham Island Petrel.
She moved to Dunedin from the West Coast with her partner and 2 daughters in 2010 to study medicine at the University of Otago with the goal of becoming a GP. She enjoys tramping and is an aspiring surfer. She is interested in lifestyle medicine, in particular nutrition and its effects on health.

Spread sunshine this summer, not bugs. If you are sick, rest up at home.
