Changes to our after-hours service
Our afterhours service is changing. Health NZ has established a new contract with Dunedin Urgent Doctors. What this means for you:
- From 15th December our hours will be Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm.
- We will no longer provide an after-hours service. We will be closed in the evenings and during weekends and public holidays.
- Please still telephone us on 4665011 for all urgent medical or minor injury matters in the daytime during the week. Your issue may well be able to be managed by one of our nursing team. If a doctor’s input is required, we have specific GP appointments set aside and available for your urgent needs.
- For urgent matters outside of those hours please go to Dunedin Urgent Doctors in Filleul St or the Emergency Department, depending on the level of seriousness.
We encourage you to not wait if you or a family member is unwell- use our daytime urgent appointment system. Being seen within your own GP Practice is better for your long-term health care.
We know this is a significant change and we appreciate you’re understanding.
