Peter Gent

I am married to Elaine and have 2 young children.  We came to NZ from the UK in 2008 and moved to Otago following the loss of our house in the Canterbury earthquakes.  We are very happy to have discovered the wonderful city of Dunedin and enjoy exploring local beaches and bush.

I qualified from London University in 1998, and then spent several years working in hospital medicine prior to gaining my GP qualification in 2006.  I enjoy all aspects of family medicine with particular interests in cardiology and care of older people.  I also have an interest in 'integrated care' (trying to foster team working between hospital doctors and GP’s) and spend one day per week doing this.  I’m at MHC from Monday to Thursday.
