Ceara spent her early years in Botswana with her British parents. After studying in Edinburgh, she worked in hospitals throughout England. But she was attracted to New Zealand, where the outdoor lifestyle supports her passion for running, tramping, surfing, sailing, swimming, yoga and pack rafting.
After coming here, she practised at Hawkes Bay Hospital for two years, working in obstetrics, gynaecology and the emergency department. Ceara then moved to general practice in Balclutha before coming to Dunedin at the end of 2017.
Being a GP offers Ceara the chance to get to know patients and their families, and help them through the ups and downs of life.
