FEES

Consultation Fees

In general, most consultations and services provided by the Doctors and Nurses will be charged to you. Detailed lists of Doctor and Nurse fees are displayed in the waiting room and copies are available from reception. If you are unsure about the charges you are likely to incur, please ask your Doctor, Nurse, or a Receptionist. There are a number of instances where your consultation is either fully or partially government funded. In addition to free under 6's our Health Centre has generously decided to provide free Doctor consultations for all children aged under 18 years of age. The following services are fully funded, meaning that there is no charge passed on to you:

  • Children's Immunisations
  • Influenza Vaccinations
(for those 65 and over, and sufferers of certain chronic illnesses)
  • Maternity Care (non-specialist)

Payment Options

For your convenience, we offer the following payment methods:

  • Cash / Cheque
  • EFTPOS
  • Credit Card
  • Telephone Banking
  • Automatic Payment

We offer a prompt payment discount on most fees to those patients paying on the day of their consultation. If you choose not to pay on the day of your consultation, you will be sent an account at the end of the month. Payment is expected by the 20th of the following month.

We offer an automatic payment facility for those patients who find it easier to make regular payments off their account. This can be arranged through our Practice Administrator. If your account runs into credit you will be given the prompt payment discount off your fee. If you have any questions about your account please talk to our Practice Administrator.

Your health is more important than money, and we would be very concerned if any patient deferred medical treatment for financial reasons.

If you choose not to pay your account we reserve the right to refer your account to a Collection Agency. This agency will add a collection fee currently 25% of the amount owing plus GST, plus legal costs. The charge for this service is currently not less than $28.13.

Please note that any account that remains unpaid will also be recorded on the credit reporting files held by Baynet C.R.A. and may adversely affect your ability to obtain credit with any other business within New Zealand.

If all, or part, of your account has been due for 60 days or more, unless it is a medical emergency, we will ask you to pay first for any service with any of our Doctors or Nurses. No further credit will be granted until your debt is paid in full or you have established an automatic payment that is reducing your debt

We endeavour to keep our fees as low as possible whilst still maintaining a professional quality service.

Even so, we are still aware that a trip to the doctor may be an unplanned event and, as such, a struggle for those on a limited income.

For this reason we provide you with a number of different ways to pay your account. If you have a problem, or have any concerns, then please let us know immediately.
