I feel enormously humbled and privileged to serve the community as a general practitioner.  Born in Wellington I moved to Dunedin 25 years ago to study medicine.  In 1986 I took time out from medical studies to study music, psychology and spirituality.  Prior to returning to medical school I worked for the special education service.  I graduated from Otago Medical School in 1998 and enjoy all areas of medicine.

After working at Dunedin Hospital for 8 years I commenced work as a GP.  I am involved with the training of medical students and am delighted to be part of the team at Mornington Health Centre.

I am married with 2 lovely children.  Although my ancestors are of European origins I enjoy contacts with people from all cultures.  My wife’s maternal family is from Japan and our travel to her mother’s homeland is always an enriching experience.  We have considered Dunedin our home for the last 25 years and have no plans to live anywhere else.
